The New York Yankees have some reasons to be disappointed after their season ended in an American League Division Series loss to the Toronto Blue Jays this season.<\/p>\n

But they can take solace in the fact that they made the playoffs and bested the rival Boston Red Sox in the wild card round. And one breakout rookie from that series is getting some attention for revisiting that win in an interesting way, with a franchise legend in tow.<\/p>\n

Yankees rookie starter Cam Schlittler earned a playoff win against the Red Sox with an eight-inning, 12-strikeout gem and he earned some extra attention as he appeared to hurl an expletive at Boston as he walked off the mound in the seventh inning of that game.<\/p>\n

Now the rookie is going viral for revisiting that message for the Red Sox while signing an autograph from his car, seated next to former Yankees captain Derek Jeter.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, (expletive) Boston,\u201d Schlittler says in the video, which as of Thursday afternoon had received more than 2,000 likes in one version posted to X.<\/p>\n

Jeter, who is seated in Schlittler\u2019s passenger seat, doesn\u2019t speak in the video but does appear to be smiling at the interaction.<\/p>\n

Schlittler\u2019s outward disdain for the Yankees\u2019 rival is more notable for the fact that he originally hails from Walpole, Mass. He attended Boston\u2019s Northeastern University before being drafted by the Yankees three years ago.<\/p>\n

In 14 starts for his big-league debut this year, Schlittler posted a 2.96 ERA with 84 strikeouts and he figures to be a critical part of the rotation for next year. If he ends up getting another start against the Red Sox, it seems like his latest viral moment might lead to some strong reactions from his rival\u2019s fans.<\/p>\n
