On Tuesday, the New York Mets acquired outfielder Jose Siri<\/strong> from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for reliever Eric Orze<\/strong>. Siri is expected to fulfill Harrison Bader<\/strong>\u2019s position as center fielder and support Tyrone Taylor<\/strong> in the process.<\/p>\n

Siri\u2019s addition to the team will help them as insurance in case Taylor needs more time to heal from his surgery. In the past two seasons, the 29-year-old posted a record of 43 HRs. However, he struggled in 2024 recording only .620 OPS as he got struck out 170 times.<\/p>\n
