The Green Bay Packers have one of the best defenses in the NFL in 2025, at least on paper. Through six weeks, they are 10th in the league with just 20.4 points allowed per game and fifth in total defense with 280.2 total yards surrendered per outing.<\/p>\n

Superstar defensive end and former Penn State Nittany Lions standout Micah Parsons surely is a big reason why the Packers\u2019 stop unit is doing that well, with opponents forced to put so much focus on him. However, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur also believes that opponents are getting a little too far in trying to contain the Packers\u2019 extremely talented pass rusher.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to say that Parsons has already settled in with his new surroundings in Green Bay. After six weeks and five games in the 2025 NFL regular season with the Packers, Parsons has already had some great moments on the field. He only has 2.5 sacks to date in his Green Bay tenure, but his impact on the team\u2019s defense goes well beyond that number.<\/p>\n

In the eyes of LaFleur, Parsons would have even made a much bigger difference in the first five games if not for some non-calls against those trying to slow down the four-time Pro Bowler.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some that are egregious and I think those need to be called.\u201d<\/p>\n

Said Parsons is frustrated. LaFleur acknowledged that close ones aren\u2019t going to be called, but said it\u2019s frustrating when they\u2019re blatant.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nevertheless, Parsons rates high on Pro Football Focus, which gives him a 92.4 overall grade \u2014 the highest among 177 edge rushers.<\/p>\n
