The NFL is a business. As such, all teams, including the Green Bay Packers, are always going to be in a position to make tough decisions on players, especially those who have become so embedded in the culture of the franchise.<\/p>\n

Moving on from the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson and Randall Cobb was not easy to process every time for Green Bay, but the team felt it was in the best interest of the team to do so<\/p>\n

Cobb, who played a decade for the Packers,\u00a0 recently appeared on \u201cThe Glory Daze Podcast\u201d to talk about Green Bay parting ways with declining stars with the team\u2019s future in mind.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what Cobb said (h\/t Packers Base ):<\/p>\n

\u201cIt gets to a certain point where the Packers are going to move on from you.. They\u2019re consistently doing it, but they do it to make the team better.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou gotta have respect for that because at least they are consistent with the decisions that they make. If you look at the roster right now, they got all the pieces on paper.. I look forward to seeing how they progress this season.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cobb\u2019s candid statement has drawn several reactions via comments from fans on Packers Base\u2019s post on Threads and other platforms.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat perspective and attitude from Cobb! I think he\u2019d actually make a great WR Coach in the league. Would be even doper if it\u2019s with the Packers,\u201d said a fan on Threads.<\/em><\/p>\n

Another one said: \u201cVery classy Randall. Much respect for you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

From a commenter: \u201cI think that if you have a veteran player who has been on the team for 10 years, his salary should no longer count against the cap.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAppreciate your words. Especially since I am still trying to recover from your leaving Green Bay. But I struggle every time someone leaves. You shared a great perspective!,\u201d a social media user posted.<\/em><\/p>\n

Via a different commenter: \u201cI have a Randall Cobb Jersey for the TD catch he made from Rodgers in Chicago with 48 seconds left!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Said another : \u201cSuch a class act Cobb. Top 3 Packers players to \u2018Carry the G.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In any case, Cobb will always be remembered as a Packer who gave Green Bay fans several great moments during his time in Titletown.<\/p>\n

In 10 seasons in Green Bay colors, Cobb collected 6,316 receiving yards and 47 touchdowns on 532 receptions and 764 targets across 130 games.<\/p>\n
