Video provided to Blaze News by Duncan Grey Baker shows law enforcement confirming that at least three people *** and multiple others were injured. According to Baker, who was present at the scene, the suspected gunman fled by boat. The Coast Guard and other law enforcement vessels are currently in pursuit.

A Facebook post from the City of Southport announced that a shelter-in-place order was issued at 9:53 p.m. local time. The post stated that the incident took place in the Southport Yacht Basin.

Additional footage captured by Baker shows victims being transported to a staging area and highlights the heavy police presence throughout the scene.
Citing comments from City Manager Noah Saldo, the Wilmington StarNews reported that “a boat pulled up to the American Fish Company restaurant and opened fire into the crowd. Then the boat sped away,” adding that several individuals were taken to the hospital.
