Aaron Judge has officially made New York Yankees home run history not done since Babe Ruth.

How? Well, it started when big No. 99 blasted a home run Wednesday night against the Chicago White Sox. It was his 50th homer of the season.

Judge has now reached the 50-HR plateau in consecutive seasons.

And the last Yankees player to go at least 50 home runs in back to back seasons? Yep, the Great Bambino, the Sultan of Swat, George Herman ‘Babe’ Ruth.

Ruth did the back-to-back feat twice. The first time was 1920 and 1921. And then he did it again in 1927 and 1928.

Judge now has four seasons overall of 50 or more homers, making him one of just four players to ever do that.

He’s truly one of the greatest right-handed hitters over.

Judge spends a lot of time on record lists with guys from bygone eras like Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Mickey Mantle. Those records were supposed to be mostly untouchable, at least after the Steroid Era.

But Judge is among the greats. He’s not just a Yankees legend. He’s a Major League Baseball legend.

Don’t take any time Judge is in the box for granted. Watch. Pay close attention. Appreciate greatness.

Few hitters have ever swung the bat like Judge, and few ever will.
