The Kansas City Chiefs’ front office will notice that a familiar face is available on the market after being cut from the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.
Mecole Hardman had been a staple of the Chiefs’ offense since he joined the team as a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. He won three Super Bowls with Kansas City and has proven to be one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets in the passing game.

During the offseason, he signed a one-year deal with the Packers but was unable to make the final roster out of training camp. According to reports, the speedy receiver was cut from the practice squad on Tuesday, ending his brief stint in Green Bay.
In 2023, he briefly played for the New York Jets before returning to the Chiefs via a midseason trade, which aided Kansas City’s run to Super Bowl LVIII. Hardman cemented his legacy with the Chiefs by scoring an iconic game-winning touchdown in Kansas City’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
