Cowboys cheerleader hits full vertical split kicking ‘like Aubrey’ originally appeared on The Sporting News

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Madeline Salter took to social media to share a perfect capture of her high kick hitting a full vertical split.

“Victory kicks like Aubrey!” she captioned the Instagram photo. “Aubrey” of course is Brandon Aubrey, the team’s star kicker. In a recent triumph over the New York Giants, he made a 64-yard field goal to send the nail-biter into overtime and then a 46-yard field goal for the win.

“This caption and pic!!🔥” commented fellow cheerleader McKenna Gehrke.

“Okay caption😍,” added their teammate Sophia Brown.

“My ballerina 14 year old said ‘great form’ when I showed her this shot,” wrote a fan. “She’s the original Rizzler.”

“I threw my hip out just looking at this,” added another. “Think I blew a meniscus too.”

Salter starred in the first season of Netflix’s mega-hit series America’s Sweethearts, which showed the professional dancer grieving the loss of her dad and healing from an injury. Her mom was also a Cowboys cheerleader making Salter a “legacy.” The second season of the docu-series came out this past June.

The Oklahoma City University grad is originally from Round Rock, Texas (outside of Austin) and is on the cheerleading team for her fifth season. She calls making the team her proudest accomplishment. “I have loved The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders ever since I was a little girl,” she says on her official DCC bio.
