Unbelievable! NFL Slaps Cowboys QB Trey Lance with $22,511 Fine for This!

The Dallas Cowboys don’t play till Monday, but this weekend has been full of L’s for America’s Team.

On Friday Nov. 15, AT&T Stadium was home of the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Paul ended up taking the win via unanimous decision which officially made the boxer have more wins than the Cowboys in “Jerry World” this year.

After Week 10’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys became 0-4 at home and fell to an overall record of 3-6.

Yesterday’s loss came in the form of a fine. Backup quarterback Trey Lance was fined $22,511 for unnecessary roughness – use of helmet – during last week’s game.

For the Cowboys-Eagles game, Lance took over the Cowboys’ offense for the second half of action – his first time on the field during the regular season.

The hit that received the fine took place in the fourth quarter. Eagles safety Reed Blankenship recovered a fumble and started to return it for a score. Lance was the last line of defense so in a last ditch effort the backup QB lunged at Blakenship to get him out of bounds.

Lance was not penalized during the game.

Naturally, Cowboys fans were infuriated.

Rush is set to be QB1 for the Cowboys’ “Monday Night Football” game against the Houston Texans. This will be Rush’s eight career start. As for Lance, he is back on the sideline but could potentially get on the field for specific plays or if Rush gets pulled again.
