The Dallas Cowboys are set for a massive showdown with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football in Week 4. Of course, the biggest storyline of the game will be Micah Parsons’ return to his old stomping grounds.

After making the major decision to trade Parsons just ahead of the season, Jerry Jones will be watching his former superstar play against his team.

One of the questions leading up to the matchup has had to do with whether or not the Cowboys would honor Parsons with a tribute video. That decision has now been made.

As shared by Yahoo Sports on X, Jones has decided that Dallas will not have a video for Parsons. That is a bit of a surprise, as Parsons meant a lot to the Cowboys and put together four impressive seasons for the franchise.

Parsons has gotten off to a strong start with the Packers. He hasn’t put up huge numbers in the box score, but his presence has allowed his teammates to put up huge numbers. Green Bay’s defense has been one of the best in the NFL.

Through his first three games with the Packers, Parsons has recorded five total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Last week was the first week that Parsons wasn’t on the injury report for Green Bay. He had been dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back. Now, he’s fully cleared and ready to go for his return to face Dallas.

It will be interesting to see how the Cowboys fare against Parsons. Dak Prescott will not only have to face his former superstar teammate, but Rashan Gary has been a beast for the Packers with 4.5 sacks already.

Jones will also be heavily scrutinized depending on how the game goes. If Parsons comes into Dallas and dominated the Cowboys’ offense to lead Green Bay to a win, the commentary about Jones won’t be extremely friendly.

Expect to see Dallas welcome Parsons back warmly. The fans were not happy to see him get traded. It could be a mixed reaction, but he is still very well loved by the fan base.

All of that being said, the Cowboys and Packers are scheduled to kick off on Sunday night at 8:20 p.m. ET. Parsons may not be getting a video tribute, but he’ll look to make his name known with his play on the field.
