The Green Bay Packers could look to move a WR at the trade deadline

It’s not that the Packers are in a rebuild mode; in fact, the way the team is playing, they’re far from it. The Miami Dolphins look to be a team in the NFL that is in that mindset.

One of the biggest questions remaining for the Green Bay Packers is “Do they have too many receivers?” Honestly, can you have too many receivers in the NFL? Perhaps. The NFL trade deadline may not be until November 4th at 4 PM. This may raise the question of whether, if all of the Packers’ wide receivers are healthy, they will look to move one. As it stands, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed are out with injury, so there isn’t much of an issue at this point.

Active for the Packers at the position are Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and first-round rookie speedster Matthew Golden. The room was so crowded during the preseason that Bo Melton switched to defensive back so that he could have a better opportunity to make the team.

Green Bay could be looking to recoup some value in return for bringing in Micah Parsons. Doubs is in the last year of his contract and is making $3.4 million. He could be a name to keep an eye on when it comes to the trade deadline because he is talented enough to go somewhere and contribute as a starter and not get lost in the shuffle, as he may if he sticks around in Green Bay whenever the injured others return.

Doubs has eclipsed 600 yards receiving during the last two seasons. Imagine what he could do on a team in a warm-weather climate if he were the prominent go-to WR1.
