However, Kraft’s status is up in the air after he suffered a left knee injury in practice on Thursday. Thankfully, Kraft’s injury is not serious and is only considered a tweak, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to take the field on Sunday.

Kraft’s chances of suiting up took a big hit on Friday afternoon, as head coach Matt LaFleur revealed before practice that he doesn’t think the star tight end will take part in the final session of the week.

LaFleur wasn’t ready to commit to Kraft playing, but he did note that he doesn’t expect the 2023 third-round pick to go on injured reserve.

Tucker Kraft injury update

“Matt LaFleur says he doesn’t believe Tucker Kraft will practice today,” The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman reported. “Non-committal on Kraft’s status for Sunday. LaFleur doesn’t believe Kraft will go on IR.”

The fact that LaFleur wouldn’t fully commit to Kraft avoiding injured reserve means it’s possible he could sit multiple games.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Packers take their time with such an important player, especially this early in the season.

It’s unfortunate to see Kraft’s momentum slowed by injury after he posted a career-best game with six catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in Week 2.

But the important thing is that it doesn’t look like he’ll miss significant time, which is great news for Green Bay’s offense.
