UPDATE NEWS: 2 more Cowboys starters ruled out Monday

We are in week 11 of the NFL season already, and the Dallas Cowboys injury report looks worse every single week.

This 2024 season will be one that all of us would love to forget. The Cowboys get an extra day of rest as they play on Monday night against the Houston Texans in the battle for Texas.

This matchup, though, does not have the feeling that I am sure those who made the schedule before the year started hoped that it would.

Out

CB DaRon Bland (Foot)
CB Jourdan Lewis (Neck)
FB Hunter Luepke (Calf)

It’s no surprise QB Dak Prescott will not be available for Monday. Prescott’s hamstring injury turned out to be more serious than any of us anticipated. The tendon partially detached itself from the bone, and Prescott had surgery this week to repair it.

CB DaRon Bland continues to struggle to return from a foot injury suffered in training camp. Cowboys Nation anxiously awaits the return of the All-Pro, but it will have to wait at least another week.

Lewis on the other hand popped up this week with an injury to his neck.

He has been one of the Cowboys’ most consistent & productive players in this 3-6 season, and will miss the Monday night game w/ a neck injury.

Everyone this team needs can’t seem to stay on the field, and it sucks to see.

Now without Lewis or Bland, the Houston Texans are welcoming Nico Collins back this week, it will get ugly in a hurry.

Questionable

T Chuma Edoga (Toe)
WR CeeDee Lamb (Back)
G Zack Martin (Shoulder)
LB Nick Vigil (foot)

The Cowboys have a season-high 19 total players that are listed on the report, you can find that below, and right above, I’ve posted it in both spots.

CeeDee Lamb found himself on the report this week, but as you see in the tweet below, head coach Mike McCarthy does not seem to be worrying about him playing tomorrow.

As for DeMarvion Overshown who avoided a major injury last week has been removed from the injury report and carries no injury designation.

Eric Kendricks and Tyler Guyton were both full participants on Saturday with shoulder injuries and good to go.

Tomorrow’s game is going to be ugly, and it might be ugly in a hurry!

Houston Texans

The Houston Texans come into the battle of Texas with a much healthier group.

They are getting a bonus getting Nico Collins back, that could loom big for the Cowboys defense without Bland or Lewis.

Questionable

Kamari Lassiter (Concussion)
Jeff Okudah (Quad)

Both of these guys seem on track to play, which is good news for Houston, but bad news for Dallas.

OUT

Will Anderson (Ankle)
Folorunso Fatukasi (Foot)

Blake Fisher (Concussion)

I will be the first to tell you I have no idea who the middle guy is so I don’t think he would have had that much of an impact on the game anyway.

Will Anderson being out helps, but who am I kidding, even if Nico Collins was out, Dallas still would stand a zero chance to win this football game.

This team is going to try and fight all they can, but they have set a record at home all season.
