The Dallas Cowboys won the craziest game of the week on Sunday.
Dallas topped New York, 40-37, in overtime at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Cowboys and the Giants went back and forth in the fourth quarter and then the overtime period. Ultimately, Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey played the role of the hero. Aubrey drilled a game-tying 64-yard field goal as time expired. He then made one from 46 yards to win the game in overtime.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said he felt comfortable with his kicker from about 70 yards.
“We would try it from 70-ish. We’ve seen him make those before,” the coach said on Sunday, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We always want to try to get as close as we can. But he’s always like, yeah, I’m good. And, yeah, that’s pretty cool. Dak’s always like, what’s the line to make, and I’m like, yeah, 50-ish. You know, 50-ish. He’s like, OK, that’s like, a 67- to 70-yard field goal. So there’s really not one, but the confidence that you see the guy kick with is just incredible.”
The Dallas Cowboys improved to 1-1 on the season with the win, while the Giants dropped to 0-2 on the year.

Following the game, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are celebrating the victory. It’s Victory Monday in Dallas.
Aubrey, meanwhile, is just doing his job.
“We all have a job to do, and going into that last kick, there were like 30 seconds left, and they scored the touchdown, just praying for an opportunity,” Aubrey said. “Once we got in range, I was just walking through my normal process, which is just focusing on the details that it takes to kick a ball. I’m not really worried about what the situation is.

“You’ve got a job to put the ball through the upright, so I just tried to do that.”
The Cowboys, meanwhile, will look to improve to 2-1 on the year in Week 3, taking on the Chicago Bears.
Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
