The Dallas Cowboys have suffered a crushing injury blow the day after their crazy Week 2 win over the New York Giants.
Dallas topped New York, 40-37, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday. The back-and-forth affair, which featured more than 40 points alone in the fourth quarter, was the wildest contest in Week 2. The Cowboys tied the game late on a 64-yard field goal from All-Pro Brandon Aubrey, who then made the game winner as time was expiring in overtime.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who earned his first career victory, spoke out following the victory.
“We would try it from 70-ish. We’ve seen him make those before,” the coach said of Aubrey’s field goal attempts on Sunday, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We always want to try to get as close as we can. But he’s always like, yeah, I’m good. And, yeah, that’s pretty cool. Dak’s always like, what’s the line to make, and I’m like, yeah, 50-ish. You know, 50-ish. He’s like, OK, that’s like, a 67- to 70-yard field goal. So there’s really not one, but the confidence that you see the guy kick with is just incredible.”
The Cowboys improved to 1-1 on the year with the win, after losing to the Eagles in Week 1. Dallas will look to get above the .500 mark in Week 3.

But Dallas has suffered a tough injury loss on Monday.
The Cowboys’ O-Line takes a hit
Dallas Cowboys center Cooper Beebe missed the end of Sunday’s win over the Giants. He suffered an ankle injury.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Beebe is now set to miss more than a month of game action.
“Cooper Beebe, a key part of their stellar O-line, is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, sources say. He’s almost certainly headed to Injured Reserve, but should be back in the second half of the season,” he reported on X..

“The hope is, based on the testing, that Cooper Beebe returns by the shorter end — 6 weeks.”
The Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line has been one of the best in football so far this season. Dallas is 10th in the league in rushing yards per game, while ranking fifth in yards per carry, at 5.1. The Cowboys are fourth in the league in total offense, averaging 392.5 yards per contest.
Dallas will have to move forward without Beebe at center for the next month-plus.
