Chilling video footage has surfaced of two men standing behind Charlie Kirk performing sketchy actions just moments before he was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

The popular conservative political activist was shot in the neck during a stop on his American Comeback Tour. Charlie Kirk was touring the country to host a series of public debates, with Utah Valley University marking his first stop.

The 31-year-old Kirk was in the middle of a discussion with a spectator when he was suddenly shot in the neck from a long distance. Video footage of the horrifying incident surfaced on social media, and we warn you not to watch it if you’re disturbed by extremely graphic material.

At 4:40 p.m. EST, President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social that Charlie Kirk had died. The prominent political activist leaves behind his wife of four years, Erika, and two young children.

During a horrific and shocking tragedy like this, there are countless details that people will naturally analyze and speculate upon themselves. Among them, several folks noticed two men behind Charlie Kirk making bizarre gestures with their hands.


“Moments before he was shot, a man in a white shirt and hat to Charlie’s right shoulder is seen making multiple hand gestures touching his ear and hat. He needs to be questioned immediately,” one user wrote.

“@FBIDirectorKash, FBI Director Kash, these 2 men standing behind Charlie Kirk look like they were giving hand signals right before the shot went off, you might want to look into it! GOD Bless and Thank you for all you are doing to help save America,” said another.

On Wednesday evening, FBI Director Kash Patel announced via X/Twitter that a suspect was in custody. However, law enforcement has since released a “person of interest” and continues to search for the killer.

During a press conference, Utah Governor Spencer Cox called it a “political assassination” and reminded the public that the state still carries the death penalty. As of 12:30 a.m. EST, authorities still hadn’t released any descriptions of the suspect.
