Even though the Dallas Cowboys aren’t taking part in the Thursday night showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders, we all knew they would be part of the conversation.
Ahead of Week 1, the Cowboys and Packers agreed to a trade sending star pass rusher Micah Parsons to Green Bay. That trade ended a holdout that lasted several months and resulted in Parsons getting a four-year, $188 million contract.

Parsons had a successful debut with his new club in Week 1, recording a sack in their win over the Detroit Lions. Fans expect more of that from Parsons, and are thankful Jones made this move. That was evident by a brilliant sign shown during the Thursday night broadcast.
While returning from a commercial break, camera cut to a shot of a fence where Packers’ players were painted on a yellow background. Next to Parsons, there was a crying Jones with the words “Thanks Jerry!”

Jones believes he made the right move for his team, landing defensive tackle Kenny Clark along with two first-round picks. Clark had a good debut against the run, but even if he makes the Pro Bowl, Jones will continue to face backlash.
Especially if Parsons continues to shine with the Packers.
