Kyle Tucker is still riding the pine and trying everyone’s patience. But PCA is back. Updates below.

The Cubs hit the road to face the former Milwaukee, former Boston, Braves for a set of three in Atlanta. Shōta Imanaga took the first turn versus Bryce Elder. He was greeted roughly by the hosts, but it could have been worse. Three runs down, in a must-win game, as they all are at this point. Ozzie Albees should be illegal. Elder looked like an All-Star.

Matt Shaw got the Cubs on the board in the top of the seventh [VIDEO] after a Nico Hoerner double put him in scoring position and a Willi Castro groundout advanced him to third, but that was all the Cubs could muster. Aaron Civale took over in the bottom of the inning and completed the contest.

Matt Olson restored that lead for the Braves with a long ball. Today is another must-win.

Counsell said he had a similar pain “maybe a couple months ago,” but that only lasted a day, and Palencia has “been good ever since.” — Andy Martinez.
