Packers News: Key Players Questionable for NFC Rivalry Game Against Bears

Not all Packers news is good news, and that includes the final injury report for Week 11’s Green Bay at Chicago game. The official injury report is out, with a few names that were expected, and at least one I was hoping not to see

Of course, things could, and have, been much worse.

Packers Rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd Has Appendicitis, Per Rob Demvosky

Also, Jordan Morgan’s shoulder injury is an aggravation of the issue he had in training camp.

Man, can we catch a break with these rookies? Just when we thought we were getting MarShawn Lloyd back on the field, the poor guy gets hit with appendicitis. Coach LaFleur said Lloyd woke up this morning with it, which is just awful luck.

Apparently, the Packers are even talking to the NFL to see if there’s any way he can still play later this season, since his 21-day practice window already opened. With an appendectomy likely requiring several weeks of recovery, it’s a long shot, but I guess it’s worth looking into.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, we got more bad news about Jordan Morgan. Remember that shoulder injury he had in training camp? Well, it’s back.

He aggravated it again, and now who knows how long he’ll be out. This is a tough break for Morgan, who was finally starting to get some regular playing time.

It’s frustrating, you know? You get excited about these young guys, and then bam, they get hurt. Hopefully, both Lloyd and Morgan can make a full recovery and get back on the field soon.

Final Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears – Week 11 Injury Report

Something to note is that CB Jaire Alexander and S Evan Williams are listed as questionable. Maybe it’s to get in the heads of the Bears and they’ll be in, but both were limited in practice this week.

Out for the Count

Sadly, we won’t have rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd, who was initially dealing with an ankle and hamstring issue and is now sidelined with appendicitis. It’s a tough break for the young fella, and we hope he has a smooth recovery.

Also out is Jordan Morgan, our versatile offensive lineman who just can’t seem to shake that shoulder injury. He aggravated it again this week, which is a concern for our O-line depth.

Doubtful:

Colby Wooden, our young defensive lineman, is listed as doubtful with a shoulder injury. He hasn’t practiced all week, so it’s highly unlikely we’ll see him on the field.

Questionable

This is where it gets interesting. Jaire Alexander is questionable with a knee injury. This is a huge question mark for our defense — good thing we’re only playing the Bears. He’s our lockdown corner, and his absence would be a major blow.

Adding to the uncertainty in the secondary, Evan Williams, a key safety, is also questionable with a hamstring issue. His absence would create an opportunity for other players to step up.

What This Means for the Pack

Secondary Shuffle: With Jaire and Evan potentially out, we might see some new faces in our defensive backfield. This could mean more playing time for younger players or a shift in our defensive scheme.

Offensive Line Depth a Worry: The absence of Jordan Morgan, along with potential injuries to other offensive linemen, is a concern. Protecting Jordan Love is crucial, so we need the next man up to step up and deliver. Love needs time to avoid those interceptions and read coverage.

For now, here is some Bears jokes and some Chicago Bears memes to get you ready for all the trash talk.
