Victoria Kalina was a fan-favorite cheerleader, as seen on America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. But in 2024, Victoria decided to hang up her uniform and relocate to New York City. Her end goal was to make it onto the squad of the infamous Radio City Rockettes. And, while keeping her fans up to date, Victoria recently revealed how far her efforts have launched her towards this goal, while also noting how she will proceed in the months ahead.

Victoria Kalina will audition for the Radio City Rockettes once again

“I did audition this past year and, boy, I freaking loved it,” Victoria stressed in one of her many YouTube videos. “It was an amazing experience auditioning, stepping into that room [and] in front of the directors and choreographers. I definitely learned so much, and this job takes dedication and grit,” she said.

But unfortunately, this year was not hers to win. And Victoria only has herself to blame. “I did not put in the hours of training that are needed, and I should have before walking into that audition,” she explained, adding, “I did not go in my best dancer A++ self.”

As Victoria further noted, she had several outside stressors vying for her attention. “This first year living in New York City kicked me almost down. I had that full experience, and it was tough having to go from not living alone and seeing my mom every day [and she was] helping me so much … to never. Then, on top of that, having to manage expenses, having to manage the timeline and lifestyle of New York City [and] learning all things adulting, grocery shopping, laundry [and] also work so I can live here,” she said.

But Victoria stayed the course, teaching dance classes while taking several lessons herself. Wildly, one of her classes was “with the dance captain of the Rockettes, Danelle [Morgan].” Danelle helped Victoria fall back “in love with the Rockettes again,” she explained. Now, Victoria realizes that she has “more performance in me to give.” So, she is preparing herself for next year’s auditions.
