A linebacker with Super Bowl LIV, LVII and LVIII rings has joined the practice squad in Foxborough.

The New England Patriots officially added veteran free agent Darius Harris to the group of 17 on Wednesday, as signaled by ESPN’s Mike Reiss and the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.

Harris, 29, entered the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted signing in 2019. The Middle Tennessee product spent his rookie season on the non-football injury list while recovering from shoulder surgery. He then spent the next three campaigns between the organization’s practice squad and active roster, and was signed back to the 53 following a stint with the Las Vegas Raiders in the fall of 2023.

The Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms with Harris amid training camp in 2024. After being retained on a futures contract in January, the 6-foot-2, 238-pound linebacker was released last week at the league’s cutdown deadline.

Harris has made 37 appearances in the regular season, including six starts, while totaling 59 tackles, 1.5 sacks as well as a pair of fumble recoveries and pass deflections. His NFL career includes 417 snaps on defense and 430 snaps on special teams.

He has also checked into seven playoff games.

Head coach Mike Vrabel & Co. carried an opening on the practice squad following the release of rookie defensive tackle Jahvaree Ritzie.

The Raiders visit Gillette Stadium on Sunday. The season opener is set for 1 p.m. ET.
