The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a prime opportunity to demonstrate that they deserve the spotlight when they face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season.
Not only will the Jags be facing the Super Bowl runner-up but will be doing it in front of the national audience of Monday Night Football. And to ensure the game gets the attention it deserves, it will have a pair of top-notch announcers.
The Manningcast will broadcast the Jaguars vs. Chiefs MNF bout
Omaha Productions just posted the schedule for the Manningcast on social media. Eli and Peyton Manning will be part of the broadcast for the Week 5 matchup.
This was the only game the Jaguars got in primetime for 2025, which is understandable when you take into account that they went 4-13 and haven’t particularly stood out when they’ve played at night.
The Manningcast originated back in 2021, and 2025 will be its fifth season. It’s worth noting that it’s an alternate broadcast, and ESPN also has a traditional broadcast for Monday Night Football.

A win vs. the Chiefs would buy the Jaguars plenty of good grace
Games like the one against the Chiefs tend to be a barometer of how good (or bad) the Jaguars are. They’ve faced them three times, including one in the playoffs, dating back to 2023 and lost all three. Right now, their odds for Week 5 don’t look particularly great.
Right now, Jacksonville is a 4.5-point underdog despite the fact that the bout will be held at EverBank Stadium, and understandably so. Even though the Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, they’re still one of the top teams in the NFL. As long as Patrick Mahomes is under center, they’ll have a chance. Similarly, George Karlaftis and Chris Jones will give Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense a tough time.
Of course, the Jags aren’t toothless and will have the opportunity to fight back. Lawrence is poised to once again play like a top-10 quarterback with head coach Liam Coen at the helm. Speaking of Coen, he’ll take advantage of a stacked running back to tote the rock at will. On defense, Jacksonville has a pair of dominant pass rushers in Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen. Couple that with the arrival of Travis Hunter, and the Jaguars might just have a fighting chance.
Of course, it’s all on paper. The Jaguars must show up in Week 5 and prove that they’re a worthy opponent for the Chiefs. The Manning brothers will witness firsthand whether they’re up to the task or not.
