Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are set to become Hollywood’s next big power couple, thanks to their engagement.

There’s no denying the dynamic duo is already quite successful in their own right, but there’s something about an entertainment industry wedding that changes everything. As a billionaire, Swift can already write her own ticket to any project, but it’s Kelce who will likely benefit the most.

With hints that this is his last season playing for the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is already taking Hollywood meetings, per Page Six. “Taylor makes him more powerful in Hollywood,” a source shared. “It makes him more relevant — especially when putting him in a movie means that Taylor is walking your red carpet.”

The media outlet reported that Kelce “has been exploring a number of things,” including a possible acting gig with Curb Your Enthusiasm executive producer Jeff Shaffer. The 35-year-old athlete is looking to transition into TV and film after his football career comes to an end.

Kelce has already seen his star rise after he began dating Swift in August 2023. A year ago, he and brother Jason Kelce signed a lucrative three-year deal with Amazon’s Wondery platform for their New Heights podcast. Wondery CEO Jen Sargent didn’t shy away from Swift’s contributions to the podcast’s popularity — it was all in the subtext. She described New Heights to Variety as “a cultural phenomenon” because the Kelce brothers are “in that cultural zeitgeist.”

There are rumors that Swift might pull off the ultimate NFL story by performing at the Super Bowl halftime show in February 2026 — a bucket list career item she hasn’t yet checked off her list. There hasn’t been any official announcement yet, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is a big fan of her relationship with Kelce.

“Obviously, it creates a buzz, it creates another group of young fans, particularly young women, who are interested in seeing why she is going to this game, why is she interested in this game,” Goodell said at a Feb. 5, 2024, Super Bowl press conference. “Besides Travis, she is a football fan, and I think that’s great for us.”

While Swift and Kelce are making wedding plans behind the scenes, their management teams are probably plotting big business moves. Hollywood is looking for its next big power couple, and these two fit the bill.
