Braves #1 prospect wrapping up unbelievable season

According to every prospect outlet available, the top prospect in the Braves organization is left-handed pitcher Cam Caminiti, who is wrapping up an unbelievable first season as a professional.

The 2024 first-round pick tossed a career-high six innings on Wednesday, striking out nine batters and allowing just one run.

The outing pushed his ERA down to 2.32 on the season to go along with a 12.2 K/9.

Caminiti was the highest rated prep arm in his draft class, and his stuff pops off the screen.

His fastball already sits in the mid-90s that he pairs with three plus secondary offerings — curveball, slider, and changeup.

He’s so far ahead of the curve at just 19-years-old, with so much room for drastic improvement.

2026 is going to be a fun one to watch for Caminiti, as the Braves start to put him to the test. He’s going to pitch against better competition and much deeper into games.

How he handles it will ultimately decide how quickly he gets to the majors.

The Braves have never been hesitant to move their best talent up the ranks quickly. It’s something that’s worked very well for them in recent years, ensuring that it’s not a method that’s changing anytime soon.
