Dodgers 19-Year-Old Prospect Emerging As Potential Star Outfielder

Triển vọng của Dodgers: Edward Quintero, Joshua De Paula, Zyhir Hope | LA thật xanh

The Los Angeles Dodgers are loaded with talent. They have as much talent as any team in baseball because of how aggressive they tend to be in free agency and on the trade market.

The Dodgers are always adding top-end talent by spending a lot of money. But their farm system is still as talented as any system near the top of the league. Los Angeles has multiple potential superstars climbing the ranks of the minor leagues.

Bleacher Report’s Joel Reuter recently shared a lot of praise for Dodgers outfield prospect Eduardo Quintero. Quintero was signed in 2023 and has been excellent with the Dodgers ever since.

“Signed for a modest $297,500 out of Venezuela in 2023, Quintero has emerged as the latest international find for a Dodgers organization that has done an excellent job mining that market over the years,” Reuter wrote. “Originally signed as a catcher, he has plus speed and all the tools to be a standout defender in center field.”

Quintero has been in the Dodgers system for a few years now, and he’s been as dominant as any prospect in their system.

Through over 200 career games since being signed, the teenage prospect has an OPS of .919 with 99 stolen bases and nearly 100 extra base hits. And the scary part is that he’s continuously getting better as he gets older.

He’s a plus runner with great game power. The outfield prospect is an elite defensive outfielder with all the tools to see that defense translate to the big leagues in a few years.

Barring an injury or any unforeseen circumstances, Quintero could be working his way up the minor leagues and into Double-A and Triple-A in the near future.
