The New England Patriots hosted offensive tackle Anim Dankwah and defensive back Emany Johnson for workouts, as first shared by ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Dankwah, 24, signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as part of the organization’s undrafted class in April. After being waived at the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline in August, the 6-foot-8, 353-pound bookend out of Howard University began the regular season on the practice squad of the Washington Commanders. He was released at the end of October. An NFL Scouting Combine invitee who earned three All-MEAC Conference selections, his Bison career spanned 33 appearances.

Johnson, 23, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as undrafted free agent in May and joined the practice squad at its formation in August upon clearing waivers. The 6-foot-2, 218-pound safety was released from the practice squad on Tuesday. A Nevada product, Johnson finished as a first-team All-Mountain West honoree in his sixth year of collegiate eligibility. Across 55 games with the Wolf Polk, he recorded 196 tackles and 11 passes defensed to go with one forced fumble and three interceptions.

The active roster and practice squad remain at capacity for head coach Jerod Mayo and executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.

The Los Angeles Rams visit Foxborough on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
