Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will soon be trading wedding rings instead of friendship bracelets! In Touch can confirm that the two are officially engaged after more than one year of dating.
Swift broke the news with a sweet Instagram carousel shared in collaboration with Kelce, featuring photos of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on one knee in a gorgeous garden. The caption read simply: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” In one shot, Kelce, 35, held Taylor’s hand while proudly showing off her new ring. The centerpiece is an old mine brilliant-cut diamond set on a gold band adorned with smaller stones and a thin bezel.
Her ring was co-designed by Kelce himself and Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, Page Six confirmed. Jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia estimated the rock to be worth between $950,000 and $1,270,000. The Abelini founder told Us Weekly, “The stone itself looks to be easily in the 7–10 carat range, which immediately places it among the most iconic celebrity engagement rings.” Another jewelry specialist, Laura Taylor, weighed in, suggesting the diamond could be up to 12 carats and agreeing it’s “easily worth” $1 million.
The engagement came after the pop star’s second football season watching Travis, 35, play with the Kansas City Chiefs. She attended 10 games during the 2024 season, including Super Bowl LIX between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9.
Taylor, 34, and Travis have been going strong since July 2023, when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended her Eras tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium. He revealed on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce that month that he wanted to give the pop star a bracelet with his phone number on it at the show, but he never got the chance.
However, Taylor heard the story and got in touch with him. The couple later confirmed their romance when she appeared at her first Chiefs game in September 2023, cheering alongside Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told Time of the start of their romance in December 2023. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker quickly became a mainstay in the VIP boxes at Travis’ games. She watched her boyfriend play in 13 games that season, including the 2024 Super Bowl in February 2024, where the Chiefs took home the victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Travis returned the favor of support by showing up to as many Eras tour shows as possible, many of which have been international. The NFL star even met Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, the night before her November 11, 2023, show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and spent time with him at the concert. He also asked Scott, 72, for permission to marry his daughter someday, a source told Life & Style at the time.
“Scott gets along great with Travis and supports this relationship wholeheartedly — he loves seeing Taylor this happy,” the insider revealed. “He gave Travis his blessing to take the next step with Taylor.”
Fans have loved watching every second of the romance unfold, especially the sweet moments at her concerts. During Taylor’s June 23, 2024, show at Wembley Stadium in London, she made the unprecedented move of bringing her boyfriend on stage to be part of her skit for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” The singer doesn’t share her sacred work space with just anyone, so many people took this as a sign that she and Travis were truly “endgame.”
“It was awesome,” Travis said of his involvement. “I had an absolute blast.”
