The Bills-Micah Parsons trade package Cowboys absolutely cannot refuse (and the reason you won’t believe)

NFL insider Adam Schefter dropped some league-shaking quotes this week about Micah Parsons’ future with the Dallas Cowboys. In short: that future might not exist. Parsons and the Cowboys haven’t made any progress in contract talks for months, and the situation seems to have reached a boiling point.

Presented with the right offer, Dallas might be willing to part ways with their superstar defender. The Buffalo Bills don’t have much margin to work with. They have less cap space than any other team in the league at the moment.

But they might just have the right pieces to make a Parsons trade happen.

Bills could make the perfect offer for Micah Parsons

Superstar edge rushers don’t get traded all that often. The most comparable situation is probably Khalil Mack’s move from the Raiders to the Bears back in 2018, but Mack didn’t come with the contract drama that Parsons does. It took a package that included two first-round picks to make that deal happen.

While Parsons’ trade request muddies the waters a bit, two first-rounders would probably at least open the conversation. From there, we can start to build the perfect offer.

Even in such a clear championship window, Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane might be hesitant to give away two day-one selections. But Buffalo could replace one of those picks with a couple of starting-caliber players at positions the Cowboys desperately need to improve.

Second-year running back Ray Davis would be a perfect addition to the package. The Bills just financially committed themselves to James Cook, and Davis has shown enough promise to step into a starting role in Dallas.

But Davis and a first-round pick probably wouldn’t be enough to pry Parsons away from Jerry Jones. The Bills would need to add a defender to the mix. Perhaps A.J. Epenesa could sweeten the offer. The former second-round pick would obviously be a major downgrade at edge rusher for the Cowboys, but he could be a capable starter.

Two starting-caliber players and a 2026 first-round pick is probably the best offer that the Cowboys can get for Parsons, but it might still take another early pick to convince them. Even then, Dallas will probably hold onto their superstar and drag this situation out as long as they can.

Even if the Cowboys accepted this deal, the Bills would have to do an insane amount of contract maneuvering to make space for Parsons’ cap hit. It’s a long shot, but Bills fans can dream.
