Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Homes Burglarized

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City, Missouri-area homes were reportedly burglarized in October, according to TMZ Sports.

A break-in at Patrick’s Belton, Missouri, mansion was reported to local police at around midnight on October 6, according to Cass County Sheriff’s Office documents obtained by the outlet on Tuesday, November 12. The incident is reportedly still under investigation.

Hours after Patrick’s home was burglarized, Travis’ mansion in Leawood, Missouri, was also broken into on October 7. The Kansas City Chiefs played a home game at Arrowhead Stadium against the New Orleans Saints that day, coming out victorious with a score of 26 to 13.

A police activity log obtained by TMZ Sports revealed that the burglary at Travis’ home was reported on October 8, but no further details were available. It’s unclear if anything was taken from either home.

Sources told the outlet that “they believe the two burglaries may be part of a larger crime spree in the area.”

Patrick, 29, purchased his property in 2020 and recently added a practice football field and golf hole, according to the publication. He shares the home with wife Brittany Mahomes and their kids, daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III. The couple is currently expecting their third child.

The break-ins came almost exactly one year after Travis, 35, purchased his estate in Leawood for $6 million so that he could have more privacy amid his romance with Taylor Swift. The mansion features six bedrooms, six baths and spans over 16,000 square feet. It also comes with several luxurious amenities, including a waterfall, swimming pool and mini golf course.

Sources told TMZ that the Chiefs tight end decided to move after he realized that his old home in the Briarcliff West neighborhood of Kansas City was too accessible amid the public interest in his romance with Taylor, 34. His Leawood home is in a gated community, which offered a sense of privacy and security.

However, even moving to a seemingly safer community didn’t completely stop the safety issues, as Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, revealed during a February appearance on “The Big Podcast With Shaq.”

“[Travis] had to completely move out of his house. People were just staying by his house,” he said. “I mean [for] safety reasons, [he had to move.] And the first day he moved into the new house … [in] a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house.”

Travis also opened up about his frustrations over getting an excessive amount of fan mail during a May episode of his and Jason’s “New Heights” podcast.

“The one thing you don’t realize, that when somebody posts your house online, that everybody now has your address and people just send stuff to your house,” the footballer said. “So I literally stopped getting mail to my house. I had to stop. I had to literally tell the post office and everybody to, like, stop bringing stuff to my house.”

Travis added, “Anything sent to my house, send right back to the sender. So anybody that’s just sending random s–t to my house, uh, it’s not getting to me.”
