Dodgers Notes: LA Options Outfielder, Roki Sasaki Makes Change, Shohei Ohtani Insane History

Dodgers' MVP Shohei Ohtani makes Roki Sasaki recruitment admission

The Los Angeles Dodgers optioned an outfielder on Thursday, hinting at a surprise move incoming. The 26-year-old is known for his speed, but wasn’t quite up to standards at the plate, making room for another outfielder to potentially make his MLB debut.

Additionally, rookie phenom Roki Sasaki is eager to make a return to the mound and has been working on a significant change during his time away. The right-hander last pitched on May 9 as he gets closer to a rehab assignment with an MLB return to follow.

Finally, superstar Shohei Ohtani accomplished an incredible feat that hasn’t been done since the RBI became an officially counted stat in 1920. Ohtani’s pitching and hitting talents are virtually unheard of in this century as the three-time MVP continues to rewrite the record books.
