‘Madden 26’ ratings for the Chiefs’ rookies are now out

On Wednesday morning, EA Sports released the rookie ratings for its “Madden 26” video game. Let’s take a closer look at how the Kansas City Chiefs rookies will stack up in the Madden universe.

Josh Simmons: 75 overall

This is a respectable rating for the 32nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Simmons trails New England Patriots’ rookie left tackle Will Campbell, who enters the season with a 79 overall. Simmons has the edge in strength, earning an 88 rating. That’s tied with two other rookies. Overall, Simmons appears to be rated appropriately.

Omarr Norman-Lott: 71 overall

Kansas City’s second-round pick ranks as the 12th-highest rookie defensive tackle. His 85 strength rating stands out — and his 71 awareness is above average for his class. Lined up next to Chris Jones, Norman-Lott has the potential to make an impact.

Ashton Gillotte: 73 overall

The former Louisville player comes in as the ninth-highest-ranked left edge rusher in this year’s rookie class. His attributes earn him an above-average overall rating compared to his fellow draftees. In franchise mode, Gillotte would be a fun development project.

Nohl Williams: 73 overall

The cornerback is tied for the 11th-highest overall rating among rookies at his position, alongside Upton Stout of the San Francisco 49ers. His 89 speed rating places him on the slower end of corners in the game.

Jalen Royals: 71 overall

The Chiefs’ fourth-round selection ranks as the 12th-highest rookie wide receiver. A 92 speed rating is solid for the position — and when paired with an 85 agility rating, it shows real potential for development. If you’re playing Franchise mode, Royals could be a fun and rewarding player to develop.

Jeff Bassa: 67 overall

Taken with the 156th pick, Bassa ranks as the 8th-best rookie weakside linebacker in this year’s class.

Brashard Smith: 69 overall

The standout attribute for this running back is his 93 speed rating.

Undrafted rookies

  • Jake Briningstool: 63 overall
  • Dalton Cooper: 62 overall
  • Glendon Miller: 62 overall
