Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is entering his fourth year in the NFL after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 draft. The 26-year-old has proven to be a pivotal pass-catcher for quarterback Dak Prescott during his time in Dallas.
Despite Prescott playing in just eight games last season due to a season-ending hamstring injury, Ferguson still recorded 59 receptions for 494 yards, though he didn’t catch a touchdown pass.
In 2023, with Prescott fully healthy, the 6-foot-5, 244-pound tight end posted 71 catches for 761 yards and five touchdowns.
On Sunday, the Cowboys rewarded Ferguson with a new four-year, $52 million extension.
“ferg makes it official,” the Cowboys wrote on social media with a photo of Ferguson putting pen to paper.
It didn’t take long for Ferguson’s fiancée, Haley Cavinder, to react. On her Instagram story, she reposted the news with a message.
“So proud of you!” Cavinder said. “No one more deserving… go ferg & go cowboys.”

Cavinder, 24, and twin sister Hanna Cavinder also left a comment on the NFL’s post.
“MY TE1❤️!!!!,” Haley Cavinder wrote.
“LFGGGGG BROTHAAAA❤️,” Hanna added.
The Cavinders have built a massive following as social media influencers and made a name for themselves as basketball players. The twins blew up in 2021 while playing for the Fresno State Bulldogs, and later transferred to the Miami Hurricanes, where they played for two seasons.
Ferguson and Haley Cavinder began dating in September 2023 and got engaged in April. The 2023 Pro Bowler got down on one knee on Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
