Japanese pitching sensation Roki Sasaki, often compared to Shohei Ohtani, has the potential to earn $60 million in endorsements without needing a Major League Baseball (MLB) contract, according to David Samson, a former Miami Marlins executive.

This estimate highlights Sasaki’s appeal to brands that value his star potential and marketability in Japan and globally.

Sasaki’s fastball, which can exceed 100 mph, has made him one of the most exciting young players in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

His rise is comparable to Ohtani, who has become a global icon both for his two-way playing style and massive commercial appeal.

Although Sasaki might not immediately join MLB due to the complex posting system and contractual timelines with the Chiba Lotte Marines, endorsements could still make him a highly lucrative star.

His appearances in the World Baseball Classic further cemented his reputation as a dominant pitcher with star power similar to Ohtani, opening doors for high-profile sponsorships even without a move to the U.S. sports market.

Sasaki’s achievements and skill make him an appealing figure for endorsements on a level similar to Ohtani, who earned $35 million from endorsements last year alone.
