Brock Purdy's Wife is Pregnant, 49ers Teammate Says

San Francisco 49ers backup tight end Mason Pline totally just leaked some big news for Brock Purdy and his wife Jenna.

In an interview with 49ers insider and radio host Larry Krueger on his YouTube channel, the second-year tight end Pline, who was a practice squad player most of last season, let it slip that Purdy has been busy with a baby on the way this offseason.

“He’s got a baby on the way, so I’m sure that’s on the back burner,” Pline said when Krueger asked if Purdy would get him a Toyota. Purdy has an advertising deal with Toyota and has been able to gift his teammates Toyota trucks for free in the past.

49ers fans, just like his teammates, are overjoyed to see their franchise quarterback become a father sometime in the next few months. They’re excited to find out the sex of the baby, when it is due, and all the other details that come with a developing pregnancy.

And Mason Pline is going to find himself responsible for the biggest headline of his young NFL career after this news spreads around the internet. Brock and Jenna haven’t yet announced or confirmed the news themselves, so the 2024 undrafted free-agent tight end signing out of Furman is the first person NFL fans are hearing this news from.

In a way, Pline gets to be a cool part of the birth of their first child forever.

Brock and Jenna Purdy’s Relationship Timeline

Brock Purdy met his wife Jenna, then named Jenna Brandt, during his freshman year at Iowa State University, while Jenna was also a freshman at Iowa State.

Jenna played volleyball as a setter at Iowa State. She eventually transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, where she finished out her collegiate volleyball career in 2022.

But Brock and Jenna didn’t start their relationship until 2022, after the 49ers drafted Purdy with the last pick in the 2022 NFL draft. They started long distance and quickly grew very close. The, Brock and Jenna became Instagram official in November 2022 when Jenna posted some photos of Purdy hanging out with her and her family at a farm.

Brock married Jenna on March 19, 2024 during last offseason. They live together in the Nashville, Tennessee area during the offseason. And now, just a few months over one year into their marriage, Jenna is expecting their first child!

It’s Been an Offseason of Fatherhood for 49ers Players

Just a few days ago, on Monday July 14, 2025, Christian McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo announced the birth of their first child, daughter Colette.

Earlier in the offseason in June, 49ers DE Yetur Gross-Matos and his wife Bri announced the birth of their son Ren.

Several of the most popular 49ers stars still do not have children, including Purdy, FB Kyle Juszczyk, TE George Kittle and EDGE rusher Nick Bosa.

But with a baby confirmed to be on the way, Purdy will be joining Gross-Matos, LB Fred Warner, and WR Brandon Aiyuk as 49ers stars who are also fathers.
