The Boston Red Sox are MLB’s hottest team going into the All-Star break.

And Jonathan Papelbon credited the current president for the team’s 10-game winning streak.

“Since visiting Donald Trump, they’re undefeated,” the 2007 champion said on NESN’s postgame coverage after Boston’s 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. “I don’t know if it has anything to do with it. But when you shake the big man’s hand, maybe you start getting on a roll.”

Members of the Red Sox visited the White House earlier this month when they traveled to Washington D.C. for a series against the Nationals.

While the Red Sox have been hot since shaking the President’t hand, they’ve gotten plenty of contribution from those who play the game. Ceddanne Rafaela has been a man on a mission at the plate, while Garrett Crochet, Lucas Giolito and Brayan Bello have turned in strong performances on the mound.

The Red Sox go into the All-Star break winners of 10 straight and have a 53-45 record. Boston has the same number of wins as the New York Yankees, and are 3½ games back of the first-place Toronto Blue Jays.
