Dak Prescott Reveals His Status For Training Camp

Dak Prescott’s 2024 season ended before it ever really began. Coming off a career-best year and a top-five MVP finish, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was poised to lead Dallas on a championship push.

Instead, a serious hamstring injury sidelined him early, derailing both his season and the team’s hopes.

Now, with the 2025 season approaching, Prescott is ready to turn the page.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday at his free football camp in Southlake, Texas, he delivered the update Cowboys fans had been waiting to hear.

“I’m healthy as I’ll be,” Prescott said, on Tuesday. “I’ll be full go for camp. I’m healthy. Yeah, I think soon here I’ll probably get the official sign off from doc, but I’m healthy.”

Prescott suffered a partial hamstring avulsion, an injury where the tendon partially tears from the bone.

It’s a painful condition that often requires surgery and a lengthy rehab process. But Prescott has pushed through the recovery and is now on the verge of a full return.

His comeback comes at a critical time. The Cowboys’ offense runs through Prescott, and his performance in 2025 could shape his long-term future with the franchise.

Dallas has made that clear this offseason, most notably by trading for former Steelers wide receiver George Pickens.

Pairing Pickens with CeeDee Lamb gives Prescott a dynamic receiving duo and signals the team’s confidence in his return.

For Prescott, this season is more than just a comeback, it’s a defining moment.

After missing most of last year, he’s eager to remind the league what he’s capable of.

If he can stay healthy and recapture his 2023 form, the Cowboys could once again find themselves in the thick of the NFC race.
