Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, in 2025, has everything in front of him when it comes to how he can shift the narratives around him.

The lack of playoff success, his ability in the regular season against the “big dogs”, and everything else in between, Prescott has his fair share of skeptics.

And even in 2023, when he finished second in MVP voting after a 4,516-yard, 36-touchdown year, some still found a way to criticise him in the regular season.

So, as we turn for 2025, fans are all wondering … does Dak have another run like that in him?

Bleacher Report thinks so, given he did in 2023.

“Just a year ago, the highly-paid veteran led the league with 36 touchdown passes while posting a 105.6 passer rating as the MVP runner-up,” Bleacher Report writes.

Dak’s top weapons in 2023 consisted of Lamb (1,749 yards, 12 touchdowns), Jake Ferguson (761 yards, five touchdowns), and Brandin Cooks (657 yards, eight touchdowns), while Tony Pollard (1,005 yards, six touchdowns) was the leading rusher.

Does Prescott have equivalent weapons in 2025?

Well, George Pickens is a huge upgrade over Cooks, to go with Lamb and likely Jalen Tolbert as the top three receivers, along with Ferguson again, so I say yes. The run game, though, is a question mark, as Pollard was lightning out of the backfield.

Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams have their skeptics, and Jaydon Blue has some nice traits. The offensive line consisted of Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Tyler Smith, Tyler Biadasz, and Terence Steele. Although this year’s version isn’t as good as that year’s, it is an improvement over 2024, we think.

Putting all of that together, is Dak capable of putting together another MVP-type season? Absolutely.

But whether he can stay healthy enough to do it is another question entirely.
