White Sox Minor League Update: July 1, 2025

Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 5, Charlotte Knights 0 (Statcast box)
It was a tough night at the plate for Charlotte as the Jumbo Shrimp hurlers held the Knights to one hit. The only knock came off the bat of Corey Julks in the third inning when he smacked a ground-rule double. Despite drawing four walks, the Knights couldn’t capitalize, leaving all those runners stranded without another hit to advance them.

On the mound for Charlotte, starter Owen White struggled, giving up four runs over four innings. Relievers Fraser Ellard, Tyler Schweitzer, and Justin Anderson provided some stability, holding the Jumbo Shrimp scoreless through the next four frames. However, Bryse Wilson entered in the ninth and surrendered a solo shot before the game was called due to inclement weather, with only one out recorded in the inning, solidifying the 5-0 loss.

Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 7, Hickory Crawdads 3
The Ballers (36-40) overcame an early deficit to secure the victory. After a rain delay to start the contest, Kanny’s offense was quiet in the first two innings, but they broke through in the third when Ryan Burrowes drove in a run on a base hit, followed by a two-run single from Lyle Miller-Green to take a 3-2 lead. CB’s pitching was steady through the middle frames, with Liam Paddack holding the Crawdads scoreless for 2 1⁄3 innings.

The Ballers extended their lead in the seventh, as T.J. McCants delivered an RBI single. They then sealed the win in the eighth with a three-run rally, highlighted by RBI singles from Grant Magill and Abraham Nunez, pushing the score to 7-2.
