The Braves have never been shy about pushing their top prospects through the organization, and the latest is Didier Fuentes, who was just promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett, joining Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies as the only teenagers to play for the Stripers.
The @GoStripers have added RHP Didier Fuentes to the roster today, the @Braves No. 10 prospect according to @MLBPipeline. At 19 years/11 months/28 days, he’d be just the 3rd teenager ever to play for Gwinnett, joining Ozzie Albies (19 in 2016) and Ronald Acuna Jr. (19 in 2017).

Fuentes signed with the Braves for just $75K in January 2022, but he struggled in his first full season with Augusta in 2023. Beginning the 2024 campaign in Single-A benefited Fuentes, and while the ERA in 2025 (5.19 across A and AA) is not all that impressive, his stuff is nasty.
Fuentes features a fastball that sits in the mid-90s, but he’s run it all the way up to 98 mph. He’s got unbelievable command with it, and it misses a lot of bats too. He pairs it with a mid-80s slider, which is his best secondary offering. The combination of youth, athleticism, and his impressive fastball should excite a lot of Braves fans.
