Bills slay the Mahomes-Chiefs dragon in early 2025 NFL season predictions

Every single season since his second one in the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes has managed to lead the Chiefs to atleast the AFC championship game. It’s getting very annoying for all non-Chiefs fans, especially for Bills Mafia who have witnessed the Chiefs take down the Bills twice in the conference championship this decade.

Enough is enough. It’s time for the Chiefs to get bounced early in the playoffs before the conference title game. The only time that Mahomes wasn’t in the AFC championship game was his rookie year, where he was backing up Alex Smith. He’s only lost twice in his career in the conference title game to Tom Brady and Joe Burrow. Can Josh Allen add his name to that list?

You can pretty much look forward to a Bills vs. Chiefs playoff showdown each year, as it has happened every single postseason since the 2020-2021 season except for one time (when the Bills were dominated by Burrow and the Bengals in the divisional round in 2023).

If that does happen again, the 2025 season could finally be the season that the Bills come out as winners over the Chiefs in the playoffs. Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone recently predicted the final four teams to make the conference championship round and for the AFC, Scataglia has the Bills taking on Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens which would be a rematch from Week 1.

Bills have chance to finally get over the hump and take down Chiefs in 2025

Here’s a bit on what Scataglia said about the Bills and Ravens as his final two AFC teams with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line:

“KC has made three-straight Super Bowls, but there isn’t anything to say that them making a fourth has to happen. Baltimore and Buffalo are more formidable and could battle it out for a trip to the Super Bowl in the 2025 NFL Season.”

If the Bills can finally take down the Chiefs in the playoffs, should they meet up against each other, it will take the weight of the world off of the shoulders of Josh Allen and the Bills. That’s literally the one thing that has continuously haunted the Bills almost every single postseason.

Now granted, the Ravens aren’t exactly the team you hope you can go up against the playoffs because they are very physical. At the same time, Allen is 2-0 in the postseason against Jackson and the Ravens so there is a proven record that the Bills can defeat a tough Baltimore team.
