Braves News: Spencer Strider struggles, Drake Baldwin named NL Rookie of the Month, and more

The Atlanta Braves lost their second in a row after dropping Tuesday night’s contest to the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-3. Spencer Strider put together a mediocre start that gave him his fourth loss of the season. He surrendered five runs in five innings, walking two and striking out four.

Offensively, the Braves recorded just six hits and logged nearly the same amount of strikeouts.

Atlanta looks to get back in the win column behind Chris Sale tonight at 7:15 ET.

More Braves News:

Major League Baseball named catcher Drake Baldwin the National League Rookie of the Month after an outstanding May.

The Arizona Diamondbacks officially placed right-hander Corbin Burnes on the 15-day injured list with elbow discomfort.

The New York Yankees officially placed closer Luke Weaver on the 15-day injured list with a hamstring strain.
