Every 2024 San Francisco 49ers player still available in free agency

The San Francisco saw a number of their high profile free agents depart in free agency during the offseason like Dre Greenlaw and Charvarius Ward. However, there are still a number of lower profile free agents from last year who are available.

Let’s take a look at every member of the 2024 Niners who is still waiting to be signed.

WR Chris Conley

Chris Conley has been a solid role player for the 49ers the last few seasons. While he does not get a lot of offensive reps, he has provided value on special teams and has stepped up when called upon. It would not be the worst idea for San Francisco to bring him back as extra wide receiver depth especially with the team dealing with injuries and suspensions for several of their top receiver options.

LB De’Vondre Campbell

De’Vondre Campbell quit on the 49ers last season so he will not be coming back. However, it is possible that another NFC team may take a chance on him. Let’s just hope they have another linebacker behind him on the depth chart if he decides he doesn’t want to play anymore mid-game.

DT Khalil Davis

Khalil Davis was with the Niners for a brief amount of time last season and only appeared in a few games. It seems unlikely that they will bring him back given the fact that the team addressed their need on defensive line through the NFL Draft.

LS Taybor Pepper

San Francisco parted ways with Taybor Pepper this offseason in a somewhat surprising move as they replaced him with a long snapper who is more expensive. He is still searching for a new home, so let’s hope a team signs him soon.

S Tashaun Gipson

The Niners brought back veteran Tashaun Gipson last season after they experienced some injuries at safety. It is possible they could bring him back again with Malik Mustapha set to miss time with a knee injury.

P Pat O’Donnell

The Niners brought in veteran punter Pat O’Donnell last season after Mitch Wishnowsky went down with an injury. Wishnowsky should be healthy in 2025 so O’Donnell will have to take his leg elsewhere.

DE Alex Barrett

The former San Diego State Aztec Alex Barrett has been on the 49ers since 2019, but they waived him. He only played in 10 games over that time as he was a regular member of the team’s practice squad.

OL Jon Feliciano

Offensive lineman Jon Feliciano is still listed as a free agent even though he essentially said he was retired. He is still active on social media trashing San Francisco’s offensive line though, so do not rule out a comeback just yet.

Those are all of the 2024 49ers who are still free agents. Some may find a home soon while others will have to wait a while and may even be forced to retire.
