Patrick Mahomes looked back on “where it all began” while celebrating a very special honor.
After the 29-year-old Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 10, Mahomes reflected on the beginning of his legendary football career.
“Whitehouse, Texas is where it all began. It’s an honor to be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame,” Mahomes wrote in the caption of an Instagram post on Sunday.
“As a part of this recognition,” Mahomes continued, the quarterback said that he was “proud to announce” that Team Mahomes, along with Adidas, “are signing 15 high schools to Team Mahomes that will represent my Gladiator logo on uniform, starting with Whitehouse High School.”
“This is just the beginning,” Mahomes concluded in his post.
The Chiefs star held up his high school jersey and posed with his wife Brittany Mahomes, parents Randi and Pat Mahomes Sr., and his sister Mia Randall in the photos.
The NFL’s official account commented, “certified Hall of Famer 👏,” while the Kansas City Chiefs account said, “Proud of you, Patrick! 👏,” on the post.
Randi commented on her son’s post, writing, “Priceless moment! I know the hard work it has taken. So proud son. I love you.”

The quarterback’s mom also posted on her Instagram grid to commemorate the honor for her son. “So incredibly proud of Patrick for being inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. ❤️,” Randi wrote on Sunday.
“Watching him chase his dreams from those Friday night lights to where he is now has been nothing short of amazing. Grateful for every moment and every memory that got him here!”
Patrick and Brittany have been enjoying the NFL off-season, traveling to Miami for the F1 Grand Prix earlier this month and taking their kids to Disney World in Orlando for the “best” family day.
