Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown recently posted a reaction video to receiving a signed jersey from New England Patriots legend Julian Edelman. In a reaction to that post, Edelman included a subtle recruitment pitch to the All-Pro wideout.
“All day bro. Feel free to rock 11 when you sign,” Edelman posted on social media.
Brown grew up a Patriots fan, and there was hope that he’d end up in New England when he was drafted in 2019. However, former Patriots coach Bill Belichick decided to draft N’Keal Harry instead. It’s a decision that would come back to haunt the team.
Brown has received three Pro Bowl and All-Pro nods with 446 receptions for 7,026 yards and 49 touchdowns in his career. Along with the social media reaction, Edelman posted a behind-the-scenes look at him signing Brown’s Patriots jersey.
It all certainly makes you wonder about the possibilities of Brown coming to New England one day. Patriots fans would undoubtedly like the acquisition, and it would further elevate the wide receiver room.
There’s also the connection with coach Mike Vrabel, who coached the same Tennessee Titans team that drafted Brown in 2019.
