Billionaire musician Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce have been enjoying a “break from the spotlight” over the past few months.

“They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it,” a source told People. “They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It’s a special time for them…They value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight.”

Kelce, though, broke his public hiatus by attending a celebrity golf tournament late last month before catching everyone’s attention with a slightly altered look while out in New York City.

His arrival in the Big Apple raised a few eyebrows with the Met Gala set to take place on May 5. While Swift hasn’t attended the event since 2016, Swifties were out in full force on social media suggesting the future Hall of Fame tight end’s arrival in New York City might be the first sign that the couple would attend the event for the first time together.

The couple hasn’t announced any concrete plans, but the crumb had the couple’s fans hitting the internet to find out if they planned to attend. According to a Swift fan account, the record-breaking Eras Tour performer was the most-searched person on Google related to the event.

“Taylor Swift is the MOST searched person related to the topic #MetGala2025. (According to Google Trends) — She hasn’t showed up to the event since 2016,” the account said.

Will Kelce and Swift be in attendance at the Met Gala on Monday, May 5? Fans will just have to wait to find out.
