The Kansas City Chiefs offense faced numerous hurdles in 2024, but none proved more crippling than Rashee Rice’s LCL tear during Week 4.
His season-ending injury, coupled with Hollywood Brown’s extended absence until Week 16, left the offensive unit searching for answers throughout the campaign.
Despite securing another championship, questions lingered about what Patrick Mahomes could have accomplished with his full complement of weapons.
Those questions may soon be answered as Rice appears well on his path to recovery. The wide receiver recently shared footage of his rehabilitation progress.
“Chiefs WR1 Rashee Rice looks phenomenal during his intense offseason workouts. The Chiefs are going to be a PROBLEM next season,” Dov Kleiman wrote on X, sharing Rice’s training clip.

While workout videos in isolation rarely tell the complete story, Rice’s movement quality stands out immediately.
Before his injury, the wideout was assembling a breakout campaign with statistics projecting well beyond the 100-reception and 1,000-yard benchmarks.
The video showcases Rice moving with impressive fluidity. His deep-route acceleration appears particularly noteworthy as he reaches top speed with no visible hesitation.
During cone drills, his lateral quickness and change-of-direction abilities seem unaffected by last season’s knee injury.
Kansas City addressed receiver depth by selecting Jalen Royals in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
The rookie’s skill profile mirrors Rice’s, potentially providing insurance should Rice require additional recovery time during early offseason activities.
However, based on current evidence, Rice seems positioned for a full return to form when training camp opens.
