Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Lands Massive Endorsement Deal on Tuesday

The 2025 NFL Draft is just days away as some teams are preparing to draft the next face of their franchise whether it be at the quarterback position or elsewhere. One team that has already found the face of their franchise is the Kansas City Chiefs who are led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Of course, the Chiefs are coming off a disappointing Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in February that spoiled their potential three-peat. Despite this, Kansas City is still one of the best teams in the NFL thanks to Mahomes leading the way and they will likely be a championship contender once again next season.

On Tuesday, Mahomes landed a massive endorsement deal with the trading card brand, Panini America, that should have fans and collectors excited.

“A true 1-of-1! Icons don’t copy or imitate, they build and innovate,” Panini announced on X on Tuesday. Excited to announce @PatrickMahomes autographs will be featured in our 2025 @PaniniAmerica NFL trading card products!” A true 1-of-1! Icons don’t copy or imitate, they build and innovate…

Excited to announce @PatrickMahomes autographs will be featured in our 2025 @PaniniAmerica NFL trading card products! #1of1#WhoDoYouCollectpic.twitter.com/2j3heeam6a — Panini America (@PaniniAmerica) April 22, 2025 This is massive news for trading card collectors at it will be the first time since 2020 that Mahomes will have licensed autographs in Panini products.

While Mahomes is now signing autographs for Panini, he did not sign an exclusive deal with the company, meaning that he will still have autographs in other sets including Leaf, where his autos have been since 2021. Of course, this leaves the door open for Mahomes to eventually sign cards for Topps/Fanatics in the coming years as well whenever they take over the NFL licensing from Panini in 2026.

With Mahomes now singing licensed trading cards again, there is no doubt that his autographs will be another chase for card collectors and they will also cost a pretty penny when put up for sale. Of course, Mahomes’ 2017 National Treasures 1-of-1 NFL Shield autographed rookie card is the highest priced NFL trading card ever sold as it fetched $4.3 million in 2021. This card is widely considered the BEST Patrick Mahomes card in existence.

And in 2021, it sold for a record-breaking $4.3 MILLION. To this day, it continues to hold the record as the most expensive football card of all-time…second place is a Tom Brady rookie autograph /100… pic.twitter.com/URw0C7CcB1 — The Collectibles Guru (@ericwhiteback) September 7, 2023 This is an exciting deal for fans and collectors alike as Mahomes continues to be one of the faces of the NFL.
