SHOCKING PREDICTION: Cowboys Could Pull Off Huge Trade for Saints’ Star Running Back 😱

Ashton Jeanty is the best running back in this draft class, but if the Cowboys want him on their team, they may not be able to wait around until the 12th overall pick.

Teams like the Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears could also be eying Jeanty. AthlonSports’ Luke Easterling predicted the Cowboys would move up a few spots and take Jeanty.

“If Jeanty’s still on the board here, the Cowboys might not be able to resist a short move up the board to land the NFL’s next great superstar running back,” wrote Easterling. “In return for a third-rounder, Dallas gets a three-down playmaker who instantly transforms their lackluster ground attack. If the Saints are confident they can move down a few spots and still get Shedeur Sanders, this could be a big win for them, too.”

The big hurdle with this trade would be Jeanty getting past the Raiders at No.6. However, if the Cowboys see a window to move up and take Jeanty, they may not be able to pass it up.

The Cowboys had the sixth-fewest rushing yards in the league last season and were tied for the fewest runs of over 20 yards.

Jeanty was the Heisman Trophy runner-up and had one of the best collegiate seasons of all time.

He ran for over 2,000 yards and threatened Barry Sanders’ long-standing single-season rushing record.
