Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Break From the Spotlight ‘Has Allowed Them to Grow Closer’ Read more at: h

Just a few months after falling for Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift stunned fans when – following years of barely speaking about her previous romances – she straight-up gushed about her new boyfriend. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other,” the singer told Time in 2023, not long after she’d started cheering Travis on at his Kansas City Chiefs football games and he’d attended his first of her many Eras Tour concerts. “Other people are there and we don’t care.”

Lately, however, they seem to have started caring. For the last few months, the couple have done their best to stay off the world’s radar, leading to recent internet speculation their romance could be cooling. But Life & Style has learned that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, says a source, as the NFL tight end and the pop star prepare to mark their two-year anniversary later this summer, they’ve never been happier, more in love or more certain of what’s to come.

“It’s been a dream period that’s only solidified that they’re on the same page about their future,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style of the duo stepping away from the spotlight. They’ve been busy making plans for their “next steps,” the source adds, which includes “amping up wedding discussions.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are Enjoying Their Time Out of the Spotlight Taylor and Travis, both 35, have been in no rush to publicly resurface, and confirmed sightings of them together have been rare. An international vacation reportedly followed the Chiefs’ February Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. In mid-March, the couple were spotted enjoying a dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille in NYC, near Taylor’s Manhattan home. Video of the pair exiting a restaurant in snowy Park City, Utah, also hit the internet. And later in March, they ate with Fox Sports analyst Erin Andrews at the Auric Room, a members-only speakeasy in Big Sky, Montana, Page Six reported, while a reader told Deux Moi they’d been spotted tucking into a meal at the Michelin-starred eatery Beckon in Denver, Colorado, as well. The Instagram gossip site further reported friends joined the lovebirds for a getaway to the Bahamas in early April.

Prioritizing a low-key life during his offseason has been a balm for the couple. “Taylor and Travis’ time out of the limelight has given them a taste of what life will be like when they’re married, not promoting anything, and not on anyone’s radar,” the source explains. It’s also only further confirmed what they long ago realized. “They already knew how compatible they were, but this break away from everything has allowed them to grow closer and be even more certain,” says the source.

That’s in part because they’ve really leaned on one another these last few months. “They’ve supported each other through some rough times – Travis’ Super Bowl loss and Taylor seemingly being named in the Blake Lively drama,” notes the source, referring to her actress pal’s legal war with It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni amid their dueling sexual harassment and defamation allegations. (Justin’s claimed in court filings that Blake – who in text messages likened herself to Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi with protective “dragons” – leveraged a famous friend’s status to get him to use certain script alterations.) Says the source, “They’ve really had each other’s backs.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are So in Love Taylor was also supportive as Travis weighed retirement, ultimately deciding he’ll return to the NFL for his 13th season later this year. “Me and Taylor are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field,” he told Stephen A. Smith on the sportscaster’s eponymous show in January. “That’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship … you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you.”

For Travis and Taylor, it’s a two-way street. “That’s why I wanted to be at the concerts supporting her,” he continued, “and making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she is doing in life.” He’s left no doubt he’s all in. “I’m the No. 1 Swiftie,” Travis declared. The admiration goes both ways as well, the source confirms: He and Taylor “are each other’s biggest fan.” They’re grateful for this time together, away from the spotlight, before Travis returns to what football commentators anticipate will be his final Chiefs training camp in July – the same month Happy Gilmore 2, in which he plays a waiter, debuts. “It’s just proven they’re a solid team and can weather anything together,” explains the source, who says they’re very much looking forward to “the fun part” next: “a wedding, a honeymoon and the start of the rest of their lives as a married couple.”
