Braves Fans Celebrate the End of Seven Game Losing Streak

The Atlanta Braves made it home and finally did what fans have been waiting a weeks worth of baseball for, just one win. At now 1-7 Braves fans are rejoicing the end of a losing streak and looking toward the future with just a little bit more hope than before. The Braves struggled straight out of Spring Training with a loss to the Padres on Opening Day. It appeared to be a bullpen problem, after two more losses to the Padres it was more apparent the Braves had problems lying everywhere.

Fans were begging management for changes, and posting on social media praying for a win. Finally on April 4 the Braves broke through on their home field. No team that’s gone 0-7 to start has made it into the post season, but after this game Braves fans seem to think they’re the exception. Stunning performances by pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach and DH Marcell Ozuna pulled the struggling team to a massive 10-0 shutout win against the Marlins. Braves fans are ecstatic.

Ten strikeouts in eight innings pitched and not a single earned run. Schwellenbach was exactly what this team’s pitching staff needed. Double digit runs for their first win has fans setting their eyes back on the post season. “The Atlanta Braves gave the rest of the league a seven game head start.”

If they can continue to win games and let their key players get healthy and return, the fans may be right. Just 154 more games to go.
